FISH FARM and RESTAURANT

This research project introduced a site of conflict between artificial and natural agencies of site and building work in “the Center City of Philadelphia.” Three fish ponds intersected with one another below or at the surface for the passage of fish from one to the next was planned to signal its local prominence blended with a service yard with street access, an outdoor terrace for the restaurant and a public garden was placed. The building program included 2000 sq. ft of restaurant with access to outdoor terrace and 500 sq. ft of retail and wholesale front for the fish farm, with pedestrian and vehicular access.
