BOAT HOUSE
Philadelphia, PA

Boat House, planned along the heart of Philadelphia, Schuylkill River, stresses its prominence as a physical and cultural gathering hub. Induced from multiple design studies, the building shape was gradually developed examining tectonic meaning of architectural section which contains verticality, forces of weight, element disposition and the visible way of relationship between forms and forces.

Designing a shed is devoted to contain the followings:
A double scull 32’-6” long and 5’-6” wide stored upside down.
Four pairs of oars 9’-10” long stored vertically
A workbench with storage for tools
A dock provides a transition from the shed to water.
